The 1911 station building
Regina's Union Station was constructed in 1911-12. It brought the Canadian Pacific Railway and the Canadian Northern Railway, later the Canadian National Railway, under one roof. By 1931 the building needed more room. An expansion costing nearly $1,250,000 pushed the three-storey central section south, creating a grand concourse and a pedestrian subway to the platforms. The 1911 facade was removed, and most of the 1931 features are still preserved.
The last VIA train left on January 16, 1990. After a multi-million dollar renovation in 1995, the station reopened as Casino Regina in January 1996. Its operator is SaskGaming, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan (LGS) since June 1, 2023. LGS is a provincial Crown corporation.

The gaming floor
Casino Regina has over 600 slot machines, in denominations from 1¢ to $5. More than 20 live table games run beside them. The list: seven Blackjack tables, three Roulette tables, Baccarat, Three Card Poker, Chase the Flush and eight Poker tables. Three standalone dealer assist podiums add to that. So do 54 Touch Bet terminals.
Monday to Thursday, the floor is open 9 am to 4 am, Central Standard Time. Friday and Saturday it stays open 24 hours, through to 4 am on Sunday. Sunday hours after 4 am are not confirmed, so a call to 1-800-555-3189 settles them before a Sunday visit. Holiday hours should be checked on the casino's contact page.
The Poker Room
Casino Regina has eight Poker tables. The Poker Room opens at noon and runs to 4 am Sunday to Thursday, and to 6 am on Friday and Saturday. Limit games range from $1-$2 to $100-$200, and No Limit games from $1-$2 to $10-$25. Private tables are booked by calling the Poker Room at 306-787-2950 at least four days ahead. Players Club points require handing the card to the Poker Manager, and only English is permitted while a hand is in play.
Food and drink
Union Station Restaurant + Bar, named for the building, opens 9 am to 10:30 pm Monday to Thursday. Friday hours are 9 am to 1 am, Saturday 8 am to 1 am and Sunday 8 am to 10:30 pm. A Sunday Brunch Buffet runs 11 am to 2 pm, when the regular menu is not served. Reservations are taken at 306-781-7000.
Crossroads, a bar and kitchen, sits in the west gaming area between the Poker Room and the Show Lounge. It is open 9 am to 2 am Sunday to Thursday and 24 hours on Friday and Saturday. Its kitchen serves 11:30 am to 2 am daily. The Midway Bar, meant for stop-and-go service, seats up to six and pours three local beers. Its hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 6 pm to 2 am.
The Show Lounge
The Show Lounge hosts more than 200 events a year, from local productions and fundraisers to touring musicians and comedians. Seating holds 716 for regular seating shows and 900 for general admission, and all events are 19+. The Box Office has two counters, near the Show Lounge and in Central Hall, and takes calls at 306-565-3000. Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged, and the counters open 10 am to 6 pm, or 10 am to 8 pm on show or event nights. This guide lists no dates: the calendar is at casinoregina.com/entertainment/entertainment-calendar.
The Players Club card
The Players Club costs nothing, and a card is issued at the Players Club desk at Casino Regina with photo ID. The same card works at Casino Regina and Casino Moose Jaw. Slots earn 1 point for every $1 wagered, and poker earns 160 points per hour. A balance of 1,000 points can be redeemed for a $5 dining or entertainment voucher. Points expire only after 12 months without account activity, and they are a small return on money already spent, not a reason to play.

Online play in Saskatchewan
PlayNow.com, operated by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA), is the only legal online gaming platform in Saskatchewan. It launched in the province in November 2022. Casino Regina offers gaming only at its physical location and has no online casino. The casino also warns about fake ads and apps that use its name.
This guide carries paid links on its home page, each marked Ad. They lead to a private online casino partner that pays the guide a commission. That site is not PlayNow, and the province neither runs nor licenses it. It has no connection with Casino Regina, SaskGaming, LGS, SIGA or SLGA. The partner can change.
